Coomera Hope Island Cricket Club or CHICC for Short ... For the Fun of the Game & a Fair Go

Coomera Hope Island Cricket Club prides itself on fair play, integrity, and mate ship.
These core values make our club a friendly environment for our players, parents, coaches, managers, volunteers and sponsors. We encourage all cricketers, no matter of their ability, to enjoy their cricket, work together as a team, play to the best of their ability, and strive to be better. This encouragement is not to the detriment of our core values as we believe there is more to cricket than results on a scoresheet.

The ongoing commitment of the players, parents, coaches, managers, volunteers and sponsors is driven by mate ship. Without mate ship, we would not have any of these people to provide the services CHI prides itself on.

MILO CRICKET:
We provide cricket for all ages beginning with the Milo Cricket program aimed at 4 to 9 year olds. Games start on the 18th of October at 4pm. Playing kit costs $70 and the first game is free. Regular games run every Friday during the season.

JUNIORS:
Junior cricket ranges from Under 10's to Under 17's and we have enthusiastic coaches and managers to aid your child's development.
Under 10's play Friday nights whilst all other grades play Saturday morning.

SENIORS:
Senior cricket is available for all skill levels, from experienced players to those who have never played outside of their backyard. We have a broad player base so you are sure to find a fit, whatever your skill level.
Senior training is every Sunday at 10am prior to the season starting in October. The season starts in October and games are held every Saturday from 12pm through the season.

MASTERS:
Masters cricket is offered to people aged 40 and over. The competition is played on turf wickets every second Sunday from 10am throughout the season with lunch included. Masters is a great way to keep in touch with the game you love without having to back up the following week. Our club boasts the largest contingent of masters players in the Gold Coast competition so there is always room to accommodate new players.

SIGN ON DATES:
Our club will be holding sign on days on Sunday, the 25th and Saturday, the 31st of August from 10am to 2pm. This is a great chance to get all the info you need.

On a personal note:
I joined the club 4 years ago at the age of 29 because a game of outdoor cricket had eluded me. Call it a 1/3 life crisis but I had to give it a go. I had no experience apart from indoor cricket when I was in my early twenties. I am now the club secretary of 2 years and have a group of mates I regularly socialise with. Although the idea of cricket got me started, it has been the mateship I have found at the club that will stay with me for life.

Give it a go for yourself and find out what cricket at our club will mean for you.

Regards
Leigh Garrett
